I like the looks of this one. $4000. https://stcloud.craigslist.org/cto/d/1980-buick-electra-limited/6368934073.html
It looks to be with a Buick V8. Too much emission crap to tell exactly but my money is on another Buick 350.
My grandfather had this car in tan. I remember riding up front in the middle between him and my dad as a kid. And yeah, Buick v8, probably a 350. I'd be curious to know why the engine needed replacing at 60k miles...
1980 was an oddball year. A lot of leftover items from the 77-79 models found their way into these, like the silver-face gauges and that Buick motor. By 81 they had gone to the corporate 3.8 V6, Olds 350 Diesel, and Olds 307 motors. 80 was the sheetmetal and dash change year (on this buick the idiot lights moved from the top of the dash to above the climate controls.
Still there. Dropped to $3500. https://stcloud.craigslist.org/cto/d/1980-buick-electra-limited/6430656702.html
Not surprising. His problem is that, as nice as the car is, there's just no demand for them. Few people wake up every morning dreaming of owning a 1980 Buick Electra 4-door. Sure, a Buick fan die-hard enough might want it, but the problem is that there's probably two people in the country who fit that description. He needs to find one of them.
And they have to Like Green cars with Green interior's. I would pass just for the color combo on this one. I would guess that it has a Buick 350 4bbl in it. I believe that was the only Buick V8 made from 1977 to the end of production in around 1980. It does look to be a decent car for a decent price, but the demand just isn't there.
It is very green. Interesting how the public's tastes change over time. Used to be a wide variety of car paint and interior colors were expected - no longer.

Too bad Whitey Bulger is in prison, judging from the movies and books, he'd really like this and it's the perfect color too! Or maybe Jack Nicholson's character in "The Departed" (Frank Costello?)
