    (Currently $7,500)....... for a 43 year old Subaru that isn't even AWD? That's about what my pickup is worth. I'll keep it.

    Yeah I agree, a FWD Subaru of the era isn't a great driving car IMO. Yes this is a nice example, but I don't think it is worth as much as it is bid to now. But I am sure it will sell for much higher $$$ amount. Plus this is a base DL but it does have quite a few options for a DL.
    One of my older sisters had an older 2 door coupe version of that car, never cared for the way it drove, and I also wasn't impressed by its winter driving abilities. Not any better than the RWD cars (with snow tires) I was driving at the time. Also the build quality was soso, but it was a 1975 model if I remember correctly, So maybe the build quality improved by 1979?

    And it rusted like a VEGA also.

    A friend of mine had a 78, I think the roof was the only thing holding it together. It would raze 2 or 3 inches in the middle under hard acceleration.
