I like how these were designed, having that woodgrain around the tailgate window and... Whatever that's called above the tailgate window attached to the roof rack. Dust shield?
I wonder if this is the same car that was listed here: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/1979-pontiac-bonneville-safari.35169/ All of the pictures are gone. The one picture I remember from the old ad is a picture showing the top of the car from a balcony or something.
YEP ! Same one. I remember the trailer hitch. And blue beverage holder. Different seller tho. Must not have liked it very much. O.K. car
Rear window air deflector. Forces air down over the rear window to keep it clear of rain when moving.
The air deflector is actually designed to keep dust from accumulating on the rear window. It helps a little with light snow and may blow some rain away but they're for dirt. My Custom Cruiser has more of a small spoiler at the rear of the roof directing the air up from the window, it may break up the dead air and do the same thing basically. This is from a patent. "The streamlining effect of some automobiles will permit air currents to flow over the rear exposed windows to remove loose dirt, dust and other foreign particles; however, with certain types of Vehicles, such as station wagons which have a relatively square rear end, the rear windows are located within the low pressure area where the eddies will deposit additional particles on the Windows obscuring vision through the same."
Ah, good. I kinda wish I had one on my darn* Suburban! *previous owners weren't so diligent in maintaining it. I've been fixing nearly everything, though I'm thankful for it.
