Could be a great deal, but the seller isn't exactly providing a lot of information and pics.........
    Wonder what engine it has?

Yes, interior pics, options and the engine choice would help a lot.

Obviously a goof on the drop-down menu that CL gives you.

    Hey Marshall,
What would you say this car is worth? I mean, based on the little you know.
    It kinda intrigues my interest.

    - If it has the expected level of equipment (A/C, PW, PL, Pwr driver's seat, tilt, cruise at a minimum)
    - If it has at least a 350
    - If its overall condition coincides with the 14k mile claim
    - If it drives satisfactorily

Then I would say the $5,ooo price is more than fair.

I'll agree, especially if it has the Pontiac 400. The other caveat being that those options actually work. No "AC just needs charge" or "passenger window doesn't roll down" hooey.

On Craig's List, when placing a car ad, they have drop-down menus for some of the specific items, like transmission, make, model, and COLOR. Obviously, the wrong box was selected. I've screwed that up before myself, when trying to use the mouse to select your items.

More than likely that is what happened. However, it is far more fun to make fun of peoples mistakes.

14k on a 78 is quite a claim to make. If true it should be worth more than 5K...

There's no mistake in the listing. The car is a very light BLUE. If you look closely at the tailgate and around the rear bumper, you can tell. It is your basic model. 301 engine, manual windows and seats, six passenger, blue vinyl interior. It has power steering, power brakes, and AC.
