That is one of the lowest optioned cars I've ever seen from Olds in this era. Only the courtesy lamps and rear defogger for options. Funny how the intake has been painted Pontiac metallic blue...
Cmon guys....this car is probably famous. This was probably Jerry Lundegaard's first demonstrator ride when he first got hitched to John Gustafson's daughter. John probably figured out Jerry was sketchy back then.... hence the low options. I mean, just look at the background....it even looks like Gustafson Oldsmobile, right?
Actually the 260 V8 is an option, the base engine would be a 231 Buick V6. I have never seen an olds 88 with that engine, but I am sure they built a few. It also has a passenger side review mirror! What I can't beleive is someone paid to have a aftermarket alarm system put on this car when it was new! They were worried about someone stealing it? Great survivor though.
SOLD FOR $7,600 ON 5/19/21. No a/c, roll up windows. but buy it move to a retirement community in Florida and head straight to the 4:30 blue light special at the diner.
