Looks like a deal for $5000. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars...rk/1217554407?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
That is $5000 Canadian $ so less that $4K US and that is without cash in hand. I'll bet that could be had for about $3K US. If i had the room, i'd be interested.
$3729.14 right now, according to XE. Looks like a good deal to me (but I think he overpaid for the tires).
Don't forget he is buying those tires in the equivalent in Canada of Manhatten here. They are not going to be cheap. Take off 13.5% for sales tax and then back of 30% for exchange and those tires are more like $500 US. That's only $125 installed and balanced. I can't remember paying that for tire here for many many many years. Well, I bought bike tires for the kids....
is Yup, and that's the way it is. Now try to buy those same tires, on a island, on the wet coast....any good tire for that matter But as long as they don't build a bridge witch is keeping the "riff raff" off...... I'll pay the extra
If the new owner drives it across the border, I don't think it costs much if anything at all given the age. Some paperwork to fill out and likely send to the border crossing in advance. If the new owner can't drive it himself, they'd have to engage a broker to handle the transfer across the border and that would cost some money, but not more than a couple of hundred I think. Then there's transport costs....
