$6500 is not a bad price but how could you afford to fill up the tank in CA?

Shouldn't be too hard to find actual Chevy taillights, if it bothers you. (It WOULD bother me....)

Could you imagine how many cheap mid to late ‘60’s Cadillacs and Lincolns you could have gotten your hands on during the 1973 energy crisis?

I’m sure you could’ve bought a lot of them. My father took advantage during the 1979 1980 fuel crisis. He bought a pre owned 78 Impala wagon with only 19k miles on it in April 1980 for only $4,000.00. It’s original sticker price in 78 was like 8k…so 2 year old low mileage car for half price. Why buy new?

Of course the price went way up. That’s the new paradigm. When at first it doesn’t sell the price was too low.

My best offer with the new wheels would be about $2 grand less than what I would have originally offered. Anyone thinking about the originality just dropped their mic. Man $6,500 to $9,500 to $10,000 is he trying to sell this car, or screw it up on the buyers dime? I bet the original “elderly “ owner loves the new wheels.

    Agree totally 1001% !

I really liked those factory sport wheel covers for the Caprice 1977-87!

Me too. I’m sure those original wheels were what was holding this car back from being sold.

I love those factory wheel covers as well. I have been collecting them for years in order to get a really clean set for when I repaint my 87 sedan. I much prefer them over the wire wheel covers that my car currently has now. I was lucky enough to acquire two of them NOS.

I’m waiting for the next set of pictures…hopefully with a surfboard strapped to the rack and a price increase up to 15k!

The surf board, or he calls it the “Family Truckster “ that’s always good for a couple of grand. I know it’s a Chevy, but all is fair on Craigslist and EBay!
