Wonder who thought removing the front bumper was a good idea? I'd also want a spare tire for that price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-AMC-M...on-/282861410905?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
I'd like to see it with both bumpers removed. He could have, at least, covered those bumper brace outlets with complimenting plates, though. With nothing there up front, where are you supposed to park it, anyway? I think, it looks great. But, it's just impracticle. Being a dealership, how could they go through the trouble of taking a long involved photo session and then neglect to power wash the crud off of areas which tend to collect it?: A wagon version was once considered:
Another bumperless Matador, but this one has a spare. https://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/d/1974-amc-matador-coupe/6500785243.html
I found this decal that says its for 74 Matador's but no Sedan or Coupe specific notation. So it looks like a simple J hook with a large washer & wingnut/
I don't remember what my Matador had, that was along time ago. But my Spirit and S/X4 used the J hook
