Very high option including factory gauge cluster and tachometer. One owner. Bidding should be interesting. Looks great. Rare model. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-Mercury-Cougar-/401464600850?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
That's about as clean as you can get. Only thing that throws me off about this car is the color. A 'bright-ish' blue to me isn't the most beautiful color for a luxury vehicle. Just my personal preference, though. Wondering what the reserve is.......?
Beautiful car. He started the auction at $500. I give him credit for that. It's a 10-day auction, and it's up to $760 after one day. Christmas week is probably not the best time to try to sell a car. Good luck to him.
It is a fine looking car, but it has that odd late 70's Ford Tach that I always misread the 6000 rpm mark as 9000 rpm at 1st glance. My 78 Ranchero had the same Tach, I didn't care for it.
That's interesting. They turned only the last number upside down. They should have just left it oriented like all the others.
Ohhhhhhhhh........If I could've bought it or an example like it in those colors, that interior and front sheet metal would be going on Babe.
Very Clean. Love the colors. Very strange to see that gauge cluster with the turned metal bezels / trim in a 4 door. I bet that's a rare one.
Well, if they're going to call it a Cougar, the brushed aluminum trim should be standard. I've never noticed something like that, in a Cougar. If it wasn't done so well, I would almost suspect it for aftermarket
I just realized--is the passenger-side dash panel turned metal? If the driver side is, that one should also be, and it looks like woodgrain.
Looks just grey on the passenger-side panel above the glove box - at least to me. The 'engine turned' appearance on the instrument panel was part of the Sports Instrumentation package.
