If it needs one small part to stop a leak, why not just replace it?! Then you can say the a/c works!

Very nice car, and I like how he photographed it with the headlights and such turned on. Really gives the car a nice look. The interior is beautiful.

I like how they also put words into some of the images.

Yes, nice they go out of there way to not just mention but put a caption in the picture describing the ? flaws.......

........ also real nice how the picture/pictures used to describe damage is inside a shaded/light lacking garage so you really can't see what they are talking about, yet all the other pictures are well taken:rofl2:

none the less, a very nice looking wagon I have to admit, like that grey interior.

Tedy, I believe that interior is light blue cloth. My mom had a '77 sedan with the same interior.

Yes, but I think the cloth interior was pretty rare on the '77-'79 CE wagons. Currently bargain priced at $2700.

So far this going for chump change at $2800, given the condition.

Condition isn't the only consideration! Yes, the current bid (now $2900) does seem low, and it's kind of surprising that he doesn't have a reserve. On the other hand, the current bid is actually not far out of line with the price guides. The Old Cars Price Guide lists the value of a '77 Caprice Estate Wagon in #3 condition ("car show" condition but not showroom condition) at about $4,000. With some of the blemishes he mentions (no AC, stained carpet), the car sounds like just under #3 condition, which would put it in the $3000 to $4000 range. Remember, it's a station wagon. We love them, but the world doesn't see them as anything other than an old car.

Sold at $5,500. Doesn't it seem a bit low for a first year model?

Bidding seems a bit low but we have had discussion about that. Would have brought double that if a 1976 CE clamshell in same condition.

for the condition - I think its a fair price. I guarantee it need more than just valve cover gaskets.
