57k miles. We've seen this Matador before. Still very impressive. http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/3700915191.html
Now had my grandpa had this instead of his 52K mile '76 Gremlin I would have taken it if he had offered it to me.
Pretty sure this is this car with different wheels. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15882&highlight=amc+matador
Not a fan of that snout but that is a nice clean classic that would be welcome in my driveway any time. mike
"You can have this one for about half the price of a Ford or Chevy wagon....." No. Actually, I can get a very nice '77 Ford or Chevy for about $2,000 less than what you are asking.
I like the "coffin-nose" styling of these. Unique, and impossible to mistake for anything else on the highway or a parking lot!
77 matador wagon Kevin, I'm SURE you are correct !! I mean this car even has those moldings behind the rear wheel wells that I commented on when it was on Ebay! SAME CAR !!!!! And everyone on this board seems to dislike the original seller in Florida. Lash or something like that...????
Yeah....Trash by Lash CadiPacer did a once over on this car, if it is the same one that was on eBay from Trash by Lash, and found lots of discrepancies.
This may be the clincher - from CadiPacer's post about this Matador wagon in 2011. Hood ornament was not offered on 77 plus this one is for the 74 Ambassador a one-year-run.? It is the same car. Apparently transplanted from Florida to Connecticut in the interim. Still a very nice looking Matador though.
Now down to $5500. This Matador wagon is still very pretty!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...3468&item=281204503468&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466
