I gotta say, though I am a mopar fan and they are pretty ugly, that this series of Oldsmobile has a lot of style. This body is growing on me.

Yes even though I believe the Buick was the rung below Cadillac in the days these were produced. These loaded Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers seemed to be more luxurious than the Buick wagons of the era. Fender skirts and those fins are really something.

The photo certainly looks like from 1976.

I was thinking that too. But there is a piece of paper on the dash. Maybe that's a for sale sign.

I have a picture of myself as a kid standing next to the family car that's less grainy than that from 1983. Other than the windows in the back looking modern there's nothing in that photo to indicate it wasn't taken 40 years ago.

The house windows? Triple track storms. Pure 70’s!

But hey, if this is a 70’s photo of a 70’s car... all the more authentic

Yes the photo is very grainy but not as bad as the authentic ones of Bigfoot! If only the seller was asking 1976 money for this wagon. Although it was probably 6-7K I’m guessing back then. Hopefully it’s condition matches the $12500 asking price.

I’m not evaluating the price, but these wagons are clearly more art than their contemporaries

I wonder why they didn't have a hood ordiment on the custom cruisers, my 76 Delta 88 had one. You would think the wagon would be too of the line.

Maybe we have a time traveler. Compared to todays digitals the photo has a Kodachrome look and the wagons front bumper and o/s mirror are so shiny they could be new . I remember these cars, when they go down the road they float like a lowrider. Don't know if it is worth $12k but it has been a long time since I have seen one.

IMG_0352.JPEG IMG_0356.JPEG IMG_0357.JPEG Talked to the seller ( original owner ) and his son sent me more pictures. He said it's been repainted once. Nice car, wood grain shows some wear same with the front seat and door panel. He said it's been garaged most of it's life, everything works except the clock. A/C is charged. Definitely a nice color combination.

Thanks for the photos and update Sinc76. Maybe it is worth the$12k. Shame the wagon is not staying in the family, they have obviously cared for it.

No problem. Yes the owner told me straight up that he takes very good care of all his equipment including this wagon.
