Actually, even if the engine ran decently, the price is just about on the mark. All the Big 3's silver and charcoal paints were not very good in staying together on the sheetmetal. Hence, the reason mom's '80 C10 was repainted by the current owners into the "Bomba Amarilla."

These are hard to find in any sort of decent condition these days.

Based on his description, this sounds like a good deal. Looks solid in the pictures, but being in Michigan makes me leery. I'm not sure how much they use salt, etc there. And you never know what's hiding under those vinyl tops.

If you look at the rocker trim, the paint above it does look to be bubbled a bit, and if you look at the base of the vinyl where it meets the body trim line, there's some discoloration, so I'd say the vinyl has issues also. But that is the going rate for a Seventies car anyway. The good thing is that it does not appear to be cancerous (to be verified with a thorough inspection), and if you can arrest the rust it has and fix the engine, that $2K is still a good price.

Even at $1500, my nose is pressed to the glass, wanting but not able to get.
