The wire hubcaps, aren't the time correct ones be silver centered?
The license plate is black and it should be silver.
I also notice the bolts are silver in the engine compartment holding the headlight buckets and radiator support - they should be black?
The wear on the seat for a 25k car - maybe an around town only car.
The bubbling on the drivers rear looks touched up.

Makes me wonder how much doctoring this car has gotten for being so original?

Bet you this gets into the $40’s. If that guy wants $27 for that ‘73, then even with the correct points that wagon 1 made I think this car will still go high. This is a great color combo with the rare vinyl roof. A set of correct wire wheels would be my first mission.

Listing states seller has only owned the car one year. A flipper? Looks like the one for sale a couple years ago in Houston. If it is, mold was an issue.

The one in Houston was not nearly this nice, and the paint color was white.

Is that vent on the left hand side wheel well in the back a rear window defogger? Not sure I’ve seen one of these. This is a nicely optioned car, and bet that drivers seat might clean up with a woolite type treatment.

    The vent is a defogger.
I dont think the drivers seat is mold, it's wear.

I see what you’re saying especially around the power seat controls looks a little worn there. Not sure what the black is in the actual seat back. I have a Dura weave interior on an LTD wagon and it has that same black thread worn look just in certain places.

Wow. Been looking for one like this…but I’m sure it will go way over what I’m willing to spend. Didn’t mind so much when these cars were 15, 20 or even 30 k…but now with the recent craziness going on I’m sure it will hit the stratosphere

If it’s not factory it’s pretty darn close. In looking at other ‘76’s there is some color variations, but the pattern, or lack of pattern in the wood grain looks like factory.

The wood also looks factory to me - the 1976 brochure.

Almost at 29k with a week to go! I really like this car but I just can’t seem to justify 40k
