Says white "leather" interior. Could you get a Plymouth with leather. I'd guess white vinyl.

That's not a '75 Fury. It's a '74. The '75s had single headlights on each side and a different rear end.

    Front end.

    Rear end.

Here's some pages from the '74 Fury brochure. The front and rear ends match the craigslist car.

It's got cop tires, cop brakes, cop suspension, and it was built before catalytic converters so it runs good on regular gas... Whaddya say? Is it the new blues mobile?

You forgot "cop motor." That's the first thing he said.

Yep, has to be vinyl. Most people today only know cloth or leather and were not around when most auto interiors were vinyl.
Later on, manufacturer’s seemed to disavow vinyl, using names like Morrokide, leatherette, or MBtex. If the interior looks a good as the exterior of this Fury, the original vinyl would probably still look good today.

The 1975 Plymouth lineup was even more complicated than that.

The Gran Fury Brougham had dual headlamps versus the Gran Fury Custom which looked just like the 1974 Fury.

Kind of makes you wonder if '74-built cars were sent out of the factory as '75 MY cars. Conspiracy theory, I know, but the bigwigs saw the writing on the wall and they had to wait for their savior in Lee Iacocca.

I think the kicker that this one for sale really is a 1975 model is the one full-length horizontal bar in the grille. That appears to be the distinguishing characteristic between 1974 and 1975, per the brochure photos.

Agreed. My money would bet its a ‘75 Custom. Plus I’m sure the owner knows his car. I remember almost getting into a knock down drag out with a guy at a car show that insisted my 1957 Mercury was a ‘58 cause it had quad headlights. Even after the whole mid ‘57 headlight discussion his parting salvo was that I needed to double check the title, and He was confident I would see he was right. Never checked the title, and it’s still a ‘57

I just joined the group when doing a search to find a 75 Plymouth Gran Fury Wagon. However, the coupe is not a bad alternative, since the wagons are hard to find. I saw the Craigslist's link above and especially exciting since it was not only recent (2 months ago) the car in the ad was located in the Chicago area like I am.

Anyone happen to get the contact info for that car? The ad is expired.

Yes. The Gran Fury had 4 headlights, and the Furys only had 2. The PLYMOUTH letter on the hood aregone, but the car looks nice.
