This really is something very special. Don't know if it can bring the price, but it is so very rare.

The most likely criticism will be priced too high. Granted, there is a limited market for these, but if you want one, go find another like it.

It's interesting that among this generation C body wagon, it's the Town & Country -- the highest priced (and, thus, presumably the lowest production) division's model -- that seems to be the most plentiful today. The Dodge and Plymouth are seen much less frequently.

I've asked before whether this generation Mopar wagon is worth that kind of money. It's true, you couldn't buy one in poorer condition and put it in this shape for $20K. So the real question is "Is there an RMB fan willing and able to put up that kind of scratch for this car?"

Here's my theory. The Dodge and Plymouth wagons, being lower priced when new, were more likely to be used up and thrown away. Don't forget how many 1970s cars were susceptible to fatal rust.

What is this Dodge really worth today? Impossible to say with any authority - it is such an obscure model at this point. But several forum members seem enthusiastic, myself included.

Another thought on value. This Dodge legitimately qualifies as a museum piece at this point - seriously, given its condition and high option level. Wagons like this once ruled the road and were ubiquitous in every neighborhood. 40 years later they are gone and will never be produced again. This is a slice of Americana that deserves to be preserved. Just my two cents.

I totally agree. Try to find another one. Cars like this Dodge were never destined to be a collector car someday....kudos to the owner for preserving this so well.

The GM Heritage Center has a 1976 Buick Estate Wagon on display, this would look great at at Chrysler Museum.

Right you are. Here is the Buick. This Dodge could be dolled up to look just as fine. (Looks almost that good already.)

I heard from the Dodge seller by email. Has owned it since 2014. Miles are right and everything works as it should - no rust or damage of any kind. What a find.

Still showing the factory tape stripes on the hood - meaning original paint.
