Doesn't look mint by any stretch, but opening price is cheap enough.

Manual tailgate, and, to my eye, the tailgate is slightly lighter in color than the body panels to either side. Also, the tailgate looks like it is not as far up as it should be if it is fully closed.

The opening price doesn't mean anything because the reserve is not met. We don't know if a $2000 bid will meet the reserve. If so, he would have been better off not having a reserve at all and just starting the auction at $2000. He would pay less in fees to ebay as reserve price auctions cost more.

His description is quite honest. The car needs a lot. He would be doing well to get $2000 for it as a final selling price.

Neat car. We do not see the '74 models that often. I like the colors on that one. It does appear to be a very low optioned model.

It sounds like my situation... I paid too much for mine in 2007 to start with... then spent a fortune to get it running (engine rebuild and tranny rebuild and complete exhaust system) and ran out of my "car money" and not going to drain my savings, so working in mine a little at time, but eventually will have to find someone that does body work. I know where he is coming from. lol.

It is a rare wagon and apparently low option. We'll see where (if anywhere) bidding goes. :)

Looks like a $2500-$3000 wagon to me.

Kingswood, its very similar to the one that was for sale here in Pittsburgh. Same color comb etc. I think more like $1800 to $2500. Will require some work but fixable. Not nearly as nice and that one sold for $2500.

This car looks like it was Neglected for a long time! I mean an interior
does not end-up looking like that over-night. And look how Filthy the
driver-side inside door grab is. Just doesn't show any signs of ever being
appreciated for the Beauty it was at one time. :juggle:

One bid and reserve not met at $2000. It may very well be overpriced.

Dunno if the Olds would've been a screamin' deal at $1K, but I get the feeling the Chebby seller's trying to get his money back.

I show it at $2550 reserve not met. Seller must dreaming. The '74 is a rare model Caprice Estate, but the condition is fair at best.
