You're right, it is about as bare-bones as you can get, not even air-conditioning, but that was the nature of the Bel Air in '74. Below Caprice and Impala. I couldn't tell from the photos---does it even have a radio? At least it has a luggage rack.

You want to get into a full-size wagon cheap in 1974, this was it. Not everyone had the money for a decked-out Caprice Estate. But there is a certain charm to its simpleness, and it is in such beautiful shape. I don't know that it's a $12,000 car or even close to that, but good luck to him. I like the photos with the headlights on.

I watched the video, which I recommend. Car sounds great, and it does have a radio, remote-control driver's side mirror, and power tailgate. With the luggage rack, that's at least four options, and the full wheel covers make five.

Yes, it apparently has a radio of some sort.

Its listed on eBay now, too. It will be cheaper to buy in Canadian funds.. :)

There's a lot to like there, but just low on optional equipment. If this were a loaded 1974 Caprice Estate, the sky would be the limit.

I like it, looks to be in very nice shape. It will be interesting to see what it ends up going for in the end.

I'm partial to this vintage Chevrolet since we had a 4 door Impala when I was young. I hope it ends up going to a good home.

$10,900 Canadian is about $8,500 U.S. It's actually starting to come down into the range of a reasonable price.
