For $6,900, I'd expect it to run beautifully AND have it delivered to my driveway!

You gotta have pretty low self-worth to drive something that San Francisco-ish.

I agree that's a pretty nasty dent in the bumper.

"Small" dent in the bumper. Not mentioned in the as is that huge dent in the tailgate, and the blown-out liftgate glass!

I wouldnt stare at that paint job too long, Cat. The pics are tiny on my phone but it still hurt my eyes... :biglaugh: However, if it ran great and it was delivered I would drive it... To the nearest cheap can of spray paint.

Be a great airport limo in Chicago. Or for taking people on slow trips up along Lake Michigan.

    OK, here's my 'negotiation'.......

Me: So you want $6,900 for it?"

Seller: Yes, but I'm accepting offers."

Me: "It will cost me at least $2,500 to repaint it. Give me $2,500 and I'll take it off your hands...."

Xavier , stuff like this are all over the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco. Old school busses, VW Kombi transporters and such painted like this are everywhere along Haight, Ashbury, Stanyon, Waller and even Oak streets. Id guess its legal. People dont think twice about this sort of thing. But id probably not want to drive it through certain parts of .... Texas say. Its a liberal / republican thing. Reminds me of the closing scene in Easy Rider. lol

Ive seen Checker cab clubs and im sure whatever it needs is out there ...... somewhere. Just a matter of tracking the things down.

If memory is right, Checkers used a Chevy motor and Chevy running gear so the mechanics should be relatively simple.

I think its a time capsule. Find a tailgate, fix the glass and somehow bang out the dents and drive with the paint job its got already. Someone spent alot of time doing the art on it
