It is nice. Too bad about the bent taillight bezel, but it's pretty cool that he has an NOS replacement. Those can't be too easy to find.

This car reminds me of mine in the low-options department. From what I can see, he has tilt wheel, cruise control, A/C, and AM radio (the latter three of which mentions). No power windows, seat, or locks, and there being only one switch on the left side of the dash above the A/C controls suggests no rear window defogger as the switch that's there would be the cruise control switch. There'd be another switch there if he also had the rear defogger.

Mine has a defogger and power seats, but no tilt or cruise.

His comment about the tailgate only going up and not down with the rear key switch is interesting. I had some trouble with my rear key switch as well, but it is pretty easy to get at and remove, and it's more than likely that it just needs to be tightened in its holder as, if it's loose at all, the key might not engage the proper pawl on the switch as it's rotated. That was the problem with mine.

Great looking car, it seems somewhat familiar to me with those yellow plugs on the doors, has it been on sale before?

Nice wagon. Just thought of a question for all you clamshell owners - can you get a 4x8 plywood sheet between the trim panels in a clamshell?

yes I like my 79 ford because I can actually haul taller wide items in it. the clam rear window narrows it down at the top where the ford does not but the bottom is wide enough

but the clam can haul WAY more weight

Yeah, I remember this wagon too, that is, if it's the same one. I recall a dealer out west,
Montana maybe, that was selling a car identical to this for $18K ish. I remember he chimed in on the discussion of the car and said how bullish he was on wagons and that $18K would sound inexpensive in just 5 years for a wagon of this quality.

Anywho, I've got this one on my 'watch list' as a possible buyer but only for a whole lot less than $18K.

I see that as a $8-9k wagon tops, its very cool but not big money yet. These 70's wagons will get there some day.

I agree with the $8K - $9K price range and I'd probably be a buyer at that price point.

Auction ended at $9600 with reserve not met. Seller wants too much; if it were loaded maybe worth over 10 grand, but not otherwise IMO.
