Kind of spartan option wise, but sure a pretty car. The wires and the new wood make it look like a million bucks!

The woodgrain does look good, but it's not authentic for '73. The original woodgrain had simulated plank lines, and I beleieve it was not quite this dark. This decal looks like what was used on the '75 - '78 CPs. The wheel covers are more of a turbine style than wires. Mercury didn't have a 15" simulated wire wheel cover this year. My guess is that this one will go for a pretty penny, even so.

5639D61B-77A5-4838-81E1-F64B212CEB49.jpeg Yeah I think Mercury called them “deluxe” wheel covers. Think Ford used the same name, wire is just my description. Lol. Think Mercury and Ford got a true wire wheel cover about ‘77-‘78. I always think of the turbine wheel on the late ‘70’s Lincoln’s and early-late ‘80’s Grand Marquis. As info Fords 1977 wheel line up. Think Mercury used same names. Deluxe, full wheel cover, deep dish aluminum, and wire wheel cover. Color keyed wheel cover not photographed, but available.
