Well I don’t know if this is the appropriate place for this posting, but it does have a forum connection. I hope I’m not going to embarrass Mr. Orthmann, but here I go. Lol. Sometime back in November we were having a discussion on cars that we wanted to own. I mentioned to him I really would love to find a nice’72-‘73 Continental. I could here his gears rolling, as his father in law had a stunning example with 37,000 miles on it. I immediately piped up that if he ever wanted to sell it, I’d like first crack. Well as they say the universe stepped in and he agreed to sell the car. Fast forward, after making arrangements, as well as finding covered space the car, it finally came home to Phoenix this last week. Thank you again Jeremiah. I consider you a true friend, and thank you for putting it all together for me. D24A5282-F5AA-448D-9067-AC809E328B03.jpeg

Totally agree. Wife said to tell Mercman that the Lincoln was "Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous!".

You're welcome Bill. It was my pleasure. I'm just glad I was able to be a part of this car's journey to you. It was definitely meant to be. I hope it brings you many years of great experiences and fond memories.
The car looks great in front of the house by the way. Almost like we stepped back in time.

Bill - if you need a volunteer to drive it from PHX to ABQ, all I need is a $49 one-way ticket. I can be in PHX in 35-40 minutes with SWA....!

Talk about a cruiser for I-40. Yeahhh boyyyyy!

It is indeed. Rides like a dream. It's like piloting a couch down the road.

Which is why I'm still bummed I didn't have the means to snag that '76 (or was it '78?) Town Car, green/green? I would've loved driving it back to home here. Except maybe the gas bill.

You can barely afford the cars you do have, let alone an Irish green continental.
