Never heard of such a machine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Intern...er-/192172930187?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
I've never heard of it, either. According to the listing, it was a "mistake" by IH, and few were produced. It's basically a four-door pickup truck, a commonplace vehicle today.
That's cool! International harvester also made a van I think? Now they just do big semi s?? Here's A bread truck
https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/cto/6100611021.html Much plainer on the outside but better interior.
I've seen one before, kinda neat, kinda not IMO it's just a travellall with the rear roof hacked off, shares the same bed trim/moldings as. Almost as if they tried for the same market as South America, a crew cab on a regular truck wb. Bad pic, but a Brazilian Ford Crew cab below on a regular WB frame. A Dodge...... A Cheby...... The Intersmashable posted I'll admit I would not mind, but WTF!?...Rhino Liner for a paint job!
There's an international dealer here in Nashville and in the lobby there is what looks to be a 30's dump truck. Like I said before, didn't they have a van like the vw?!
IH built a bunch of different vehicles. I owned a 65 Metro. I guess you can say it looks a little like a VW. They looked basically the same from 39-65. Here's an adventure I had with it. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/driving-the-metro-from-co-to-tn.6884/#post-56102
This is gonna be good reading material for later. I just read the first few posts and they're trying to talk you out of the trip. I guess what I'm remembering IS a metro, a little bigger than a vw. Do you still have yours? The one I got pictures of is a friends. I'd like to know more about it. I gave it the once over when he bought it a year ago but that's about it
No, unfortunately I sold it. Only vehicle I regret selling. Does your friend use their Metro? I'll eventually get another older step van, but money is tight right now for me.
His wife uses it for her coffee shop. when they bought it the guy said it was running the previous week but quit in the middle of a particularity reckless test drive. He pointed out a butt connection hanging down but couldn't find where it went. I poked around a bit and found where it plugged up. I'm not real sure it was about a year ago but I think it was the starter solenoid?! I think it was round, had about 4-5 wires that plugged into it, but it was up under the steering wheel in the left corner(if that makes sense) when it I connected the loose end we heard the fuel pump engage. I'm not sure but I think they drove it home the next week. I asked him about it not too long ago and he said it wasn't doing anything when he turned the key and the battery has been tested as good. I'm a long way away from him and haven't gotten to look at it since. Am I right on this starter solenoid location?
No idea, I'm not familiar with that model. Where are they located? Tell them to get on The Binder Planet forum if they have already, in the Triple Diamond truck section.
