I'm a bit skeptical this is a real '73 Grand Am. For one thing, the Grand Am did not have scoops in the hood. That's actually a hood for a LeMans with the GTO option package.

It’s kinda cobbled together. I wouldn’t trust this thing unless I did a complete VIN search.

My Friend has this 74 in mint condition. He did repaint it and added a clear coat which he said is not factory for that year but sure brings out the silver.

The Nasa scoop hood was optional on Grand Am's in 73-75, that hood is not original to that car as it would have vent Slots in the rear of the hood if it were a 73 or 74 hood, that is either a 75 hood or one sold over the counter after 1974.

Here is a Picture of a 73 GTO Hood with the slots, the Nasa scoop hood was only standard on 1973 GTO's & 1974/75 Lemans GT's, but it was optional on any GA, or Lemans Model those years, Heck my 1973 Lemans Safari has one as an option.

As for the number of 4-speed GA's Built in 73, no one knows for sure, not many, but more than the 148 claimed by the seller of that car, the only number I have ever seen is for total manual transmission Pontiac A-bodies built, that includes 3 & 4 speed manuals, in Leman's, GA's, GTO's & even Wagons of around 2200.

Rare car, but priced at least 3 times its value, considering its current condition, and no mention of the conditions of its soft header panel, or if a fiberglass replacement is included. If the replacement panel is included it would be worth about 1/2 the asking price.
