Way out of my price range, but I always loved these odd little Flat Crank V-8 Powered little Screamers. A Pilot in my Fathers Squadron had one and I still remember hearing it scream past us on the Rural Texas Highways. My Father was driving his 63 XKE and that Alfa would pass us like we were standing still. The Jag was over 10 years old and tired but man that Alfa was FAST!!!! over $33,000 and reserve not met, but it looks great. but the interior and engine compartment could use a lot of work. They are all Gray Market Cars in the US, http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Alfa-Romeo-Montreal-Base-/332099217147?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Outside, it's sexy. Inside, it's like a prostitute that needs a "hamhock overhaul:" you insert the hamhock and pull the bone out.
Very cool car. The only one I've ever seen was in a museum. (Not a great pic, but I was trying to take one of every car in the museum.)
Have always lusted after this car, owned 2 Alfa's way back when a 72 Berlina with Weber carbs; Ansa exhaust; comp. cams; car was rear ended and totaled - so upset went out and got a 73 Spyder with AC , took the engine from the Berlina; These cars had the ride quality of a brick, ran when they wanted to; exhaust and road noise that was load and always smelled like Castrol 5w-50 - but what a smile they would put on your face! sorry picture quality isn't better old photo's
