This one was listed here yesterday. And several of us members had to clean the drool off our keyboards.
In the scheme of things probably not a bad price if only minor things are there.

You couldn't build it like that for the price... if it's as good as it looks in those pictures...

For Sale: 1972 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Rebuilt 455 and TH400 Transmission. Too many other new parts to list. Over $10,000 invested. Price reduced to $6500. Interior in excellent shape, exterior in very good shape. Serious inquiries only. Please Call or Text 402-641-3986. [IMG]

    lusting, lusting, lusting...................want, want, want.

    Wife says:

Can't have, can't have, can't have - fix the Safari

I know she's right but this wagon just seems to hit a home run with me. Why do women have to be so practical? It just seems wrong :49:

450 miles away. Anyone want to buy my Mercury??? Seriously, I want this Olds, and would sell the Merc in a second for this. Three grand, fly in, drive home.

Big plus on this one IMO is the rebuilt 455 and TH400......
And even looks pretty good with the snazzy red paint.

I have been thinking about this one waaaay to much. Figuring out getting it home with the roads the way they are across the mountains. I am a go get it kinda person - I could not go through what KK did and stay sane.

So I was in the shop virtually all day today getting ready to tackle the Safari. The thought is, get it apart sufficiently that the family CEO sees I'm working on it and determined to get it done and maybe she will say "aw heck, go ahead and grab that wagon you want". Hey, we can daydream can't we?

But dang I like this one a lot. I just know it is perfect, the one I want, the right colors and look, and I just know I'd be dead meat if I pursue it. Oh well.....

It is extremely hard for a corpse to beg for forgiveness :162:

And, I hate the thought of the love of my life spending the last years of her life in prison :slap:

The front fenders are rusting out at the bottoms along with the spare tire well and there are a few other bad spots, who knows what it looks like around the vista glass and underneath. I'd beware of that car without checking it out real good personally, I wouldn't even bother to look at it myself, waste of time. That's a grand to replace the woodgrain plus what it will cost to fix the rust right off the bat. The tailpipes look way small for a 455 too, even look smaller than the single 350 tailpipe.
