Very grand indeed, once a beauty. There used to be a '71 Grand Safari out the road from here in a junk yard many years ago. It was white with wood-grain, a 6-passenger model, it had been setting since the early 1980s. Engine was removed. The yard belonged to an old friend of my grandfathers, they have both since passed and last I heard a couple of years ago, the old mans son took all of the cars to the crusher (not sure if that is true) - I am sure that wagon was one to go, but not 100% sure - I think he sold the property. There were hundreds of old cars from the 1950s-1970s that had set for years and ruined in the woods. :( I remember him having several 1969-70 Country Squire wagons, many with the 429 engine.

It wouldn't let me edit the ad for him so I just fixed it and put it here.

Too bad this Grand Safari is in such sorry condition. It appears to have all factory options for 1971. Bet it was a looker back in the day.

Shouldn't the owner just lower the price already? I suppose it's at least keeping the car from being derbied. Maybe only temporarily.

In the shape that it looks like it's in it probably isn't that useful for anything but parts since it's so well optioned. It's worth at least $2500 in parts on the market. It's sad to watch cars get into this shape.
