She's medium green right now but may end up Plum Crazy or Green Go with a '71 Super Bee look. The 383 2bbl is about to become a 4bbl Magnum and I am adding headers and dual exhaust. 58k original miles. The power back glass works off the dash switch now but not off the key. The two-way tailgate works well. Interested in seeing what the handle for the gate is topped with - mine is just bare metal right now.
One of my favorites... love that ride. I am still trying to work my dual tailgate.. how is it SUPOSED to work? I can only get mine to swing...not drop. WELCOME!
Welcome Cecil...I remenber seeing your wagon on the C-body board...well welcome to over here now then....
HeyHeyHey One of those original Sport Utility Vehicles!..Looks to be in good shape.Used to have a 68 ColonyPark who's tailgate had been smacked in a parking lot. Those "dings" can be pretty bad.Only the window in the tailgate worked. On that one,it was just the dented in body panel blocking linkage that kept it from working.Since you can get the door open, check the linkage and see if it's all hooked up.
zoomcruiser And it comes with one of Mopar's "bulletproof" drivetrains.Once each part has been fixed right,if that hasn't been done allready,it should be good for a decade or two.
those big Mopars Yeah, they got pretty big...A recent story on HotRodTV mentioned that the 1971 Chrysler 300 was an inch longer than a Ford Excursion. And,basically, the Excursions were the size of Ford's mid-70's wagons(19 feet, six inches)---just only taller(6',5")...Read somewhere that the longest(and also the widest)production line vehicle from Detroit, however, was the 1976 Fleetwood Brougham Sedan DeVille.Which was just over 21 feet long and seven feet wide---but only about five feet tall...This was before Hummers,Hummers may be wider,I don't know.
I heard that the biggest chevy was the 76 Caprice, so the bicentennial must have also been the year to build the biggest ride.
WOW, shes a big gal! She reminds me of the station wagon the Brady family rented while they where on a vacation to Hawaii in that mid 90s movie that was done..... Sadly, you only see it for a few seconds.
