Fine looking but too high. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Ford-Galaxie-country-sedan-/112648440839?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Good but not perfect. There's a dent in the passenger fender and some paint's missing here and there, a number of the paint chips do not look recent either.
Back on eBay. A no reserve auction too, unless the seller made a mistake in the listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Ford-...ash=item1c9ed8b957:g:9GYAAOSwU1FaEQwx&vxp=mtr
That is quite a difference. His first auction had a starting bid of $9,500 (and received bids--shocking, I know.) His current auction had a starting bid of $200 and is now up to $2,800 with 9 days to go. He'll probably end up higher than that, but it does seem strange that he wouldn't put some kind of reserve on it. I'd say that if he gets anything over $5,000, he'll have done well. As much as he's done to the car, and as nice as it looks from 20 feet, it still has some issues.
If it didn't have issues, he could expect to get much more. That was one of the last slim Ford full-sized wagons
Very nice shape for a Missouri wagon. Very restorable, something that can be driven while restoring to.
I have a feeling we're going to see this one back on Ebay soon. Nice car, but I'm sorry I don't trust that bidding.
