That's one beautiful Estate Wagon! Won't take much to put her back in top shape. The interior is in fantastic condition!

Looks like lots of great family memories were racked up in those 105k miles! Good luck to the winning bidder.

I really like the old vacation photos of her back in the day--a treasure with this car. I like it!

That is awesome, very few people took photos of their cars back in the day. The fact that it's been kept in the garage and taken care of is another bonus.

 

So what is wrong?

 

The color. But, maybe if it got a wash and wax, the finish might actually be attractive

 

Strong bidding so far.

 

I dunno.... the "barn find" and vintage pics are cool but online bidders need current, clear photos of a car that will likely be bought sight unseen. Include one dirty pic and then wash the car you are trying to sell.

1. No photos of the rear wheel body work they mentioned.
2. Looks like possible rust around below rear quarter windows. Could be dirt, who knows.
3. Says the owner was meticulous. All vintage pics show the car dirty and I don't know any "car guys" that would make zero effort to clean a car before trying to sell it.
4. Drivers door will need touched up. Non-woody makes paint repairs easier.

I don't mind the paint color, interior looks great, and gotta love the 1 yr only louvered tailgate. Wonder where bidding on this one will end up, $8,000?

 

He hasn't got that long, for updating the ad. I certainly hope he does, if only to budge the price high enough, in order to keep the vehicle out of the hands of those diabolical Derbyists

It isn't his car. All he could do is to suggest that it gets hosed down and re-photographed. There has been almost 30 bids set. So, the interest is there. I only hope that it does get cleaned up in time and that the reserve is high enough to keep it out of evil hands
