Distinctive front end. STATION WAGON 1970 PONTIAC CATALINA - cars & trucks - by owner -... (craigslist.org)
"Car is in running condition" covers a lot of ground but IMO that is a lot of good looking California Pontiac for $10,000.
Well, that's a nice way of putting it. I wouldn't be so nice.......... ______________________________________________ Looking a little closer at the pics, I think the seller/flipper may have found this down in Mexico. Certainly doesn't look like Orange County, CA, where the wagon is being sold.
It's listed in Irvine California, but those photos are either East LA, Barrio Logan, or south of the border. The graffiti is all in Spanish and all of the cars in the background are not plated in California (looks like Mexico but you can't tell easily due to how pixelated it is). The one side picture shows a Mexican state inspection sticker and the plate digits you can make out on the car match up to Mexico plates. Could be fine, but I'd be wary of bringing a car like this back into a state like California if the paperwork is still in Mexico or Arizona. All those mods on the engine and the age of the car are an instant trip to CHP for inspection and sign-off. That tinting will also raise eyebrows at the DMV too. It's been repainted at a bare minimum. I'd want to see it up close first for the money.
