I bet the interior is nice though. That would take some time and money.

Imagine what it would look like if it wasn't garaged all these years?

Or not. He does show one photo. I see mold and mildew. He's asking $5,000. The car is worth $500 on a good day.

Its not a Superbird. You cant touch a pile of Superbird rust for that price.

It’s nice that he’s nurturing the mold with what appears to be a grow light fastened ever so cheerily to the back side drivers door.

yep, agree on all points mentioned above - but a leaning tower of power with only 53000 miles? It's just getting broke in! Here's couple of observations about this one - IF it's not rotted out(and what little pics don't really see rot) and you arm yourself with a mask and some heavy duty cleaners for a weekend and IF it's not stuck, it's got the slanty and li'l torqueflite combo, good reliable stuff - and the biggest IF of all is that you'd get it for about $1500, you just might be able to do something with it. It would be neat to get a few car buddies together and get that thing to fire over a Saturday and a promise of a BBQ and case of beer. I think '70 midsized Plymouths look the best of that three year cycle with that front end.

Paint it gold and be like Mike Brady and take the kids for new outfits at Sears...

What Sears? Or maybe paint it black and white with LA police decals and you can be Mac from Adam 12 and just show up to crime scenes. Plenty of em here to keep us busy Bill

Don't let the price scare you too much, ever seen pawn stars? People always shoot for the moon. Bring cash and trailer and see if he comes to his senses.

The price doesn't scare me as much as the car itself.

New member due to the purchase of this beast. I paid next to nothing for it. The owner died and a real estate developer bought the house to tear down and build condos and found the car in the garage. He was just happy to get rid of it before demolition started. He had no idea why it was parked in 1977. It's currently sitting in my driveway covered in snow awaiting Spring when I'll start digging into it. It was a half day project getting it out of that garage and onto a trailer. Not easy in an alley in Chicago with no room but we got it done. It's going to be a dad/kid project with the intention of my 12 year old son driving it to high school, so we have some time. The 225 will have just the right amount of power (barely any) for a teenager. I'll be posting and definitely searching the forum and asking questions as we go.
