1970 Lincoln Continental

Boy do I like this, but this pics show some rust lurking under the vinyl roof. Red Moondust Metallic paint.

It could only look much worse, as soon as the roof gets flayed:

 

Like it very much, but that rust would have to be repaired to pique my interest. No question. And a dealer will not touch it because it may be worse than we can see.

 

I haven't know a case where it wasn't much worse. Once moisture enters, it's nearly impossible for it to exit. That's what happens, once you start upholstering sheet metal

 

I visited them some years ago MJC Classics in Florida; always has interesting cars but I think a bit high priced; he does however paint a lot of cars and if someone is interested in this one, I'd say ask them to take care of it;he has the man power for it.

 

That auction ended with 1 bid and apparently a no-sale as the car is relisted at the same starting price.

It's going to take quite a bit of it, if he opens that Pandora's Box. I figure, he's waiting for that one buyer who'll overlook that blister

It's a pretty car to sure. The rust would be a little worrisome, but for a cruiser I think it would be just fine.

 

Especially, since it's turning itself into a self-made convertible

It looks like they ironed down the blister somehow which makes me even more curious (actually, suspicious) to look under there:

 

So $23,500? Well, cleave that in half, and that's about what it's worth, more or less.
