$7500 is pretty high for no V8.

I'm sure it's that high because he's doing what a lot of people are doing these days: speculation. Not for what it is, but what it can be. And I almost guarantee there's some fool who loves that front end and will pony up more for it (perhaps not $7500, but definitely more than the $1600-2000 I think it's worth).

Actually it's a nice looking wagon but not at that price.
The blue inner tailgate sure looks out of place.

Speculation. There seems to be a reality disconnect going on with sellers. You're right Silvertwinkiehobo, this is maybe a $2,000 wagon and the seller is painting a picture of what it could be, then attaching a price tag to the potential. Reality suggests selling this car for a fair price OR actually fixing it up then pricing it accordingly. But we aren't dealing with reality much anymore in the used car market. Despite the work needed here, if it were mine I'd be tempted to leave the low buck slant 6/3 speed combo intact and just fix the cosmetics. It'd sure be different than everybody else's R/T or Super Bee clones.

Yep!!!!!!!!!!! Why does every old vehicle need a big V-8?
A nice $2500 wagon as is.
