Saw this at an estate sale today. The registration sticker on the rear license plate says October 2011, so I assume it's been off the road since then, and it sure looks it. The body and paint look pretty good, but the top is shot and has apparently let water in as the interior is not much better. But it's definitely a restoration candidate.

I assume the screwdriver holding the choke open is there because they tried to start the car. It was not running when I was there, but there was what looked like a new battery in it. Bidding started at $800 and was up to $1000 when I was there. I like how the note in the window says "Car." Duh. How about a little more info? Mileage? I couldn't see the odometer because the driver's door was locked. All four tires hold air.

The lucky guy could at least spell car. From here, it looks neither high milage nor neglected. I doubt that our Whizz Kid ever had it on the road. He's probably just flipping it.
It helps to have a selfie stick at hand, for snapshooting odometers from torn tops, unless nobody sees you climbing in

I agree with Ivy, that screw driver is holding the secondary air horn open, not the choke, have fun starting a car that way!!!!!

Yes, good point about where the screwdriver is.

What a shame. I'd say that paint color is not factory 1970 Cadillac. More like 1982 Ford Escort. :yikes::slap:

Possibly, but I'll bet it's the original color. Cadillacs were available in quite a few colors.

Here's the '70 Cadillac paint chip chart. The second one down on the left, Corinthian Blue, looks like it could be the color of this car. The car is perhaps a bit lighter, but paint fades over the years, especially in the desert sun.

Yeah that was a metallic. I too thought when I saw it, it had a late ‘70’s Ford color on it. Easy enough fix, especially if you got it for $1,100. They did do a complete paint job on. The under trunk also has that color. We had a neighbor that had this car, with the white interior and top in the Chateau Mauve. I was in lust with that car.
