Ever notice how these Kinda look like a 72 Skylark Wagon from the back. Especially the tail-lights.
I like this one. It has to be fairly rare nowadays.

Close, but I don't think they are the same..... Pontiac's has the B/U's built-in.

That Pontiac is one cool wagon. Looks like a bigger GTO front end and got to like "Executive" proudly displayed on the fenders with the "428" as well. I believe this was top of the line in 68.

Put on the weird Grand Prix wheels, and this car could be a show stopper.
That blonde is pretty easy on the eyes, too.

Nice picture! Yes this wagon with new paint and some Pontiac rally wheels would really be something. Oh oh I'm starting to like this one more than my Buick clamshell! Wonder if it's 5 lug or 8 lug wheels like I've seen on some of the Pontiac's.

I believe '68 was the last year for the 8-lug wheels. And you always saw the lugs - you couldn't put wheel covers on them (Why would you want to - they were so beautiful...)

I think Pontiac considered the Bonneville to be the top of the line wagon at that time. The Executive was the middle wagon, the Catalina the base wagon.

Bonneville was top of the line wagon for 1969, but only the Executive Safari had the exterior wood grain!

From what I understand from the 60's Pontiac Full Size Line up, most years (not all) the smaller bodied cars as price started out with the Catalina, then if you optioned up the interior you would put the "Ventura" package on a Catalina. The Executive (or Star fire Executive in the early 60's) was the Catalina trim level on a Bonneville Size Body. Then there was the Bonneville Trim Level, and some years the Bonneville Broham above that.
The wagons I get more confused on, as I think they all had the same wheel base no matter what trim level you bought. But remember back in the day you could always buy the lower trim level and load it with as many options as you could afford. My father always bought the base model for the least exterior bright trim, and loaded up the interior. He always considered the big external rocker trim as salt catchers.

Just gotta be careful with that front nose, the '69 full size noses were a bit fragile...

Oh yes, definitely. Even out of the salt belt and in the desert, I pulled lower bright work off of VERY clean cars to discover rotten fender and quarter holes. They caught everything that liked to hold moisture if you didn't wash them thoroughly very often.
