If that had a 318, it could potentially be in my price range. I got all excited when I saw the car and year in the thread title. Then I saw the 426 and knew there was no chance.
Now would not that be the sleeper from hell!?! Now how long do you think it would take to launch the cooler through the rear glass.... 10 maybe 20 feet? and still has the plastic on all the seats!
Had a free hemi lined up once a few years back, one hitch, it was in Canada and in a truck (transplant obviously), wish I had known Tedy back then I would have crashed on his couch...after all I couldn't afford a hotel room after blowing that much on gas with a full size crew cab and a flatbed behind it. Oh well...what do ya do. Yes I regret it still.
I hate it when that happens, I had a great running 428 Q-code in a complete rusted out 67/68 Merc Parklane, I got the car as a flat out trade for a rear spoiler off a 71-73 Mustang. Times were tough back then so I could never pass up a flip, I think my kid was just starting kindergarten, legal fees up the ____ for custody, selling it was food on the table. I some times miss those days in a strange way Edit..... I would have BBQ'd if ya showed up! Substitute Fat Tedy where it says Bobby....and ad Bison (Buffalo)!
No factory 426 Hemi wagons, EVER, of course, but this is quite the build here! I do NOT like the woodgrain on this particular car, however.
