Actually only partially right sometimes. Patina as these guys use the word mostly means faded paint with primer showing. My first car, '49 maroon Dodge was getting patina on the fender tops from waxing it too much. But it wasn't rusty.
Another overused word , barn find ,blank canvas for your touch ,rare etc etc. True patina is one thing ,rusty crap is another.
I don't care for patina no matter if there's not a speck of rust. Like my old Dodge, that just means the car needs to be painted. An added cost to whatever the cost of it is. I can allow it on a very old original vehicle and would probably drive and show it as is. A car is only original once.
