    .

Me too. So many 60s cars with a dark red/maroon paint were given black interiors (especially GM).

Wow - did you see the Marti Report? I wonder if this was some Philco bigshot's car originally. See, back in the day we manufactured a lot of stuff in Philly, including radios and TV's and sadly, most is gone. Yep, factories right in the city limits in neighborhoods. Man, at that address there used to be lots of factories in that part of town. I think a lot of younger people have a hard time wrapping their heads around that. A factory is now in some suburban business purpose-built park. Back then, you walked or bused to work.

Jarred a memory loose...when we were kids we were up shooting at a dump and we found a TV to pepper and it was a Philco-Ford. Yeah I know there always was a lot of Philco TVs back in the day, but this one had a badge that read "Philco" with a small Ford oval badge like you'd see on a vehicle or part. I can't say I've ever seen another one like that and I don't know if they did that for just a few years or so?

BTW, as of right now, the high bidder is Adam Wade from the Detroit area who has the Youtube channel "Rare Classic Cars and Automotive History". JMT Joe and I seen some of his rides last year, as Joe's Caballero was in the garage where Adam keeps some of his cars, and this car must be nice, as Adam doesn't buy junkers.....

Allright guys - let's have some friendly betting. How much do you think we will see this high bidder asking for this car here in about 60-90 days? Follow his bidding/winning and he has the same patterns, so it looks like a dealer to me. If he's not, he's got a nice fleet like our friend Bill Mercman. I was hoping Adam would win it, then he'd make a nice detailed video about it. Oh well.

I am going with $27995 Bob.(Double what he paid).

    Please don't say $27996!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had that kind of loose cheddar, I'd BE that kind of Mercury buyer. If this car is as good as it presents, I'd have no problem spending 20k for it.
