Does anyone know anything about the Comfortron AC system in a '68 Caprice Estate wagon? I was looking at one. The owner say you can turn the system on, but nothing happens. Any idea what the trouble could be? Thanks in advance.

If absolutely nothing happens (no blower, no AC clutch engagement) I would check the fuse in the fuse block, which if I recall, is on the lower left side below the dash. Comfortrons are notorious for problems, not unfixable, but most people don't want to bother with fixing them and jury rig 'em to work. I'd suggest getting a '68 Chevy shop manual - get an original, the picture quality in the repros is poor.
