Nice wagon. The Di-Noc's in remarkable shape for being so old. Looks like it's the correct, original stuff, too.

The '67 Caprice (along with the '69) are, IMO, the best-looking of the late 60's big Chevy wagons (the '65 was a nice looker as well, but there was no Caprice wagon yet in '65).

Not so lovin' the red/woodgrain combination though.......
Looks best in white, gold/light brownish, black and yellow.

There was also a medium blue that looked real good on the Caprice woody's. The AC looks factory correct under the hood but I'm wondering abt the shot of the dash climate control panel?? It doesn't seem to be factory original for an AC car??

A '68 turned up on a local lot in my town a while back in that blue. The Mrs was determined that we were going to buy it. The price was a little high but I still think I may have made the wrong choice in not buying it. :)

Dam, that is beautiful. I was never a fan of red car perioud when I was younger and a red car is still something that doesn't really do it for me, but in the last couple years red woody wagons sre just to die for. IMO this year has the hottest @zz end treatment with the tail lites.

That's it! A high school buddy's dad had one like that except I believe he had the 396 in it and the rally wheels with a black interior.

That is correct for the base AC. They also had the "Comfortron" set it and forget it system.

For a Caprice this car has relatively few options. Pretty nice condition.

How would you switch from just a "Vent" setting to AC with just those options on that panel?

Middle slider - once the slider goes to the right beyond the 'Vent' area into the 'Cold' area, it trips the compressor switch.

I don't know what the price was, Wiz, but...tell you the truth...I don't like the looks of that huge hitch on the back of that car. Had to be a puller. bet it has or had a trailer brake inside.

Right like KK said. The non A/C control panel just has three horizontal levers one of which is the fan speed. Concidentally the non A/C control panel actually has an "Air" setting on it. My ex brother in law was looking at the dash one day and commented questioningly whether the car had A/C. I said no that literally means air, like from the outside. Goofy. I think the 1968 control panel is labeled a little differently and actually has an "A/C" setting somewhere on it.

Kevin is correct, found one for sale on EBAY and its identical to this piece. Apparently some models started using a master switch around this time, I suppose to turn the compressor on/off.
