1965 Dodge Dart | eBay Don't know why no one is bidding on this. Looks like a nice daily driver. Maybe the fact that it is only 6 cylinders is a turn-off.
I would bought it spot on if it wasn't for the expensive transport and all fees to Sweden. The slant six was a good engine
Six cylinders doesn't do well on freeways, I've been told. Hubs used to own a 65 Ranchero and he said the engine was crying when he bought it up to 60. Hubs says this wagon is worth 7500-8500 USD, what do you think?
The slant-six was a great engine, no big deal to go fast or pull heavy, I had some Valiants with the 225 and they cold stand some abusement. Even the Swedish Police Force bought Valiants with the 225 slant-six. Here's some info The Chrysler Slant Six Engine (170-198-225) | Allpar Forums And then this WILD SLANT SIX - 225 Chrysler Build and Dyno | Iconic Engine Series (youtube.com) In Sweden, a Dart wagon in good shape would perhaps go for $10-12000
Humbug. When they're tuned, they'll aul hass. Paul's Ranchero was probably anemic, by design. Ford sixes of that vintage had intake runners bending at 90° angles. I had a '66 Valiant sedan with only a 198 Slant that had absolutely no problem on freeways. Back then, we could even still go 70
If it's not the engine, why do you think there is no interest in this wagon? The mileage is not bad and the seller says it runs great. CA car, rust-free. Oops, the interior is in bad shape. Maybe it's not sought after enough to spend the money? I had the front driver's seat of my Squire done in correct vinyl, perfectly matching to the other seats. Fantastic job, cost was 1400 (the material was hard to source and costly, I was told).
I can't find its first date of auction entry. But, it has over six days left to go. Not shown is even how many looks it has gotten. My guess is that it's not suitable as an investment, first of all. As a daily driver, it's too valuable. I'd give it some time. Usually, these change hands at the last minute
Not suitable as an investment.........too valuable as a daily driver. That might be it. It's been on there one day, I'd expect at least one bid. Maybe you're right, maybe it just needs time. He should have listed it as a Buy It Now at a fair price.
It's also an eyesore, painted that color, cracking through the paint and patched at the left-rear quarter. Despite being of high quality and reliability, it'll need time for baiting the right buyer
I just noticed that patch. Yes, it's really ugly, that left-rear quarter. Maybe potential buyers are turned off by that. Hit at some point? Didn't notice that it is a re-paint either.
It had fifty nine years to get hit, at some point. I don't know if it's a repaint. But, it certainly looks like it has been painted with spray cans
