I found a picture of a car that was part of a collection I used to take care of years ago. This 63 Ford wagon was amazing. It was repainted, had all NOS trim on it. Even had NOS Ford seat upholstery. It has add on under dash AC that worked amazing. It was a beauty. I miss it.
That is indeed a very nice 63 Ford wagon. Heres a 63 Ford Falcon wagon that showed up tonight at the local cruise in at Manassas, Virginia this evening. It was beautifully restored (and yes, I told the owner about the Station Wagon Forum).
Woo! Woo! Woo! Tell us more details about that wagon Gordo? Engine? Options? History, etc? Any other ??
Well, the front half of that falcon looks exactly like the car I learned to drive on - same color even. Unfortunately, the back half had a short roof.
That picture is from about 1989/90. My boss bought it from a friend of his who specialized in buying and selling 60's Galaxie parts. That guy got it from the first owner from California. There was NO rust anywhere on the car. When it was painted it didn't need ANY dent repair. Just a good sanding and painting. If I recall correctly it had a 352 with a 4bbl carb on it. The guy I worked for also sold rare Ford parts, and we attempted to put a set of Ford Cast iron headers on it, but the drivers side header wouldn't clear the shift linkage. The air conditioning worked amazing. The car was great to drive and we drove it all over the place. If anyone cares that's me in the background with the pink Ford hat on.
If you look closely, there is Burgandy 1969 Boss 429 Mustang parked in the opposite direction in front of it. That was a fun car to drive too
Don't know how I missed the BOSS 429 in that pic That is a sharp 63, wonder where it is today and if was kept up?
