    Hello,

Anyone know of a fix for this or where to start? Will go down if hooked direct to battery power but that's all.

    Thanks,

Well, I have no experience with your specific car, but I would start by using an ohmeter to check the switch. Make sure there is power to the switch. Then I would check the safety switch that makes sure the gate is closed, if it has one. Nothing left then but to start following wires and look for a broken or shorted one. Hope that's helpful.

I agree with L1, you need to start tracking your wires down. One area known to have issues is below your tailgate, the harness runs by your hinges. Check there for a broken wire. You may have to remove your rear bumper.
