just got my wagon and the wife noticed no seat belts. I'm assuming optional back then or not at all ? Anyone have a resource for correct seat belts.

Yup - still an option in 1963. By then though, a lot of the dealers were including them in their car orders to the factory. I remember having them on the folks' '63 Falcon that my step-mom bought new.

As noted, not federally required in 63 so not standard equipment. Most cars did not have them. The hard points are likely already in the floorpan with plugs in the threads, however. Look from underneath to find them, then pull the carpet up and remove the plugs. Be sure the get the correct thread Grade 8 bolts for installation. These are often an unusual fine thread. There are no hard points for shoulder belts, however, in this car.
