    I'm not entirely sure, I'd have to go back and look, but actor Lane Smith drove a white one very close to this one, in the "From the Earth to the Moon" miniseries.

    What's the deal on the bus? I can't imagine that as the actual bus that Holly, Valens and Richardson had shunned in favor of the airplane ride that crashed, giving us "The Day The Music Died."

    There is another photo, and it allows you to see all the acts that rode the bus; Richie Valens is not listed.
    So it may be another tour, another bus.
