Not sure if this was posted here before, this was at a local cruise in tonight. 60 Parkwood, LS1 powered, Vette brakes, from Arizona original tan paint. Graphics were added by a local guy.

Personally i cannot wait till this whole :bs: "patina" look goes away. Patina in my eyes only means that you have abosoutely no auto body or paint skills nor the patience for such. I dont even care if its the original paint, you know the old saying you cant polish a turd right? I am a huge fan of the LSx series motors but its beginning to get way over played IMHO. COULD be a nice car. COULD. :2cents:

Hey, Fizzy..........I too think the LS motor trend is a good one. Imagine that 60 Chevy wagon, doing 75 MPH down the freeway, getting 25 MPG. We had one new with a 283 and a powerglide, did about 14............
Now, put a ten thousand dollar paint job on the car, and you're afraid to park it anywhere, or drive it anywhere.......
The way it is, you can park wherever you please...........I'd love to have one just like it.
There's always been patina'd cars, I've driven a lot of them while I was building them. They just didn't get any attention until the were all shiny. Now they do.......

There must be some happy medium between salvage yard and show car. That way you could have a car that looks decent, but is also usable. The other thing about this one is those ridiculous wheels and tires. No thanks. For me, a 16 is PLENTY of wheel under one of these cars.

    I like the car...but not the wheeeels:naughty:
...as for the patina?...i dont like 'faked' stuff...but I really like 'original' :yup:

as far as im concerned...an all original car is worth more than most 'restored' cars....at least you know what your getting:yup:

and nowadays...most cases...body n paint costs you more than what the car is worth...so why not make the best of it:thumbs2:
