Looks pretty solid with some minor bubbling. Cool being a 2door. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/d/glendale-very-rare-1960-meteor/7153814606.html

That's got to be EXCEPTIONALLY rare. I found one web article indicating that there were only 1600 1960 Canadian Mercury Meteors produced, in total. I couldn't find any figures on the Meteor 2-door wagon production for 1960, so I did some extrapolation. I have the 1960 FORD production numbers, broken down by model. There were 27,136 2-door Ranch Wagons made for 1960. The total full-size production for 1960 was 910,857 vehicles. Doing the math, the 2-door Ranch wagon was .0298 of the production total. Using that same percentage applied to that approximate 1600 vehicle total gives you (maybe) 47 or 48 2-door Meteor wagons in 1960.

Kind of a brochure for them here:

According to that brochure, Mercurys no longer were Meteors. Rather, Meteor badges were instead tacked onto Fords

It definitely used the Ford body shell with some different details like the grille and taillights. In some years, Meteors used Mercury bodies with Ford interiors. Interesting how Meteor borrowed the Country Sedan and Ranch Wagon names from Ford for their wagons this year.

There was no 390 in 1960. It's either an engine swap or a misidentification. Note in the brochure the availability of the 332, which was last available in the U.S. in '59.

Bet you couldn't score a halfway decent '60 Ford 2-door Ranch Wagon for $6K.

The seller even discribes the 390 as a big block. He evidently has even a faint idea as to what a 390 is
