Looks nicely done. All the mods on it make it a great driver. Also nice that the engine replacement is still a Pontiac.

Color would be a deal-killer, though. Maybe the missus would like it.......

I agree. I like everything about it except the color.

Then again, if someone wanted to gift this car to me, I would happily drive a pink Safari. :D

I love this one. Somehow the pink works for me on this car. It certainly looks to be in perfect condition and thoroughly sorted. Love this, even if there is no way I could afford that kind of dosh for an old car. Or a new one come to that.

In that first picture, I figured it was coral, and that my monitor was wonky. But, no, it is definitely PINK...as in Plymouth Panther Pink/Dodge Moulon Rouge from 1970. Very nice Poncho!

In Krash's pictures from 2010 it was for sale - is it still owned by that same couple or did someone buy it from them and is now selling it?

Never mind - I answered my own question. The name Bernie is in the 2010 pic and in the ad for sale. Think it's been for sale since 2010?

I imagine its not easy to find a buyer for a pink wagon @ $45K.

It's an ordinary 400 and not a G.T.O. 400, unfortunately. That would spoil the car more than the color, in my book. Even though, Pontiac shared more individual parts between the first v-8s and the later ones, with the exception of the Chevy smallblock, maybe, I still would have tried to get a high-output engine of that era or a 421 or 428 60's block (455s are smog-compensators. Thus, somewhat offbeat for that concept)
He's probably intending on working over rich hubby's guilt feelings, preceeding his wife's birthday or Christmas.
I once used that same tactic, by formulating a want-add hinting on giving a loved one something nice for Christmas and it worked.
Pink is okay on something like that. The body lines somehow carry it well. I would never order some Lincoln Towncar in that color, though. That would be almost as silly as to drive one in powder blue which is even more fruitie than pink.
My generation liked painting hotrods candy apple red and nobody thought twice that such people were swishy or not.
I admire that guy for sticking his neck out and not giving in to preparing something to sell to more potential buyers. Instead, he took the risk and created an individual work of art

HanswurstVP----------- powder blue which is even more fruitie than pink.

Ya know I've never considered powder blue as being fruitie. But everytime I drove my pink 49 Ford I was embarrassed. :49:I told everyone it was my wife's car even though she's never driven.:D
Still there was a plus. Women couldn't keep their hands off that pink car.
