350-Powered 1957 Chevrolet 210 4-Door Wagon for sale on BaT Auctions - ending April 21 (Lot #104,740) | Bring a Trailer I like the looks of this one.
It would look much better if the wheels were painted anything other than white. It looks like a giant whitewall tire.
I generally don't mind those style of wheel. But usually they coincide with an airbag system and a lowerable ride height. For some reason, everything else being stock they do kind of seem out of place.
I know wheel choice is a personal "like" decision but I agree with Orth, because everything else is stock they do seem out of balance with the rest of the cars look. I've seen a very similar but not exact look on a '56 two door post that was perfectly stock and it was not what I'd have chosen for a wheel. But it was very clean, the owner was very pleased with it, so in the end that's what really counts.
Sold for $29,250 on 4/21/23 seller said he had $5000 in rims and tires. i wonder if that added and subtracted from winning bid?
It subtracted from the car for me, but at $29,000 the seller may have done ok on the rims. Also wonder what premium or discount the crate motor was? Pretty car though.
